Re: 394 Restoration - need a lot of advice.
Genuine barrel bored out or an athena kit is the only way, I had a chinky kit on popsi rider is sounded like the small end was gone, needless to say its not on there now, the athena kit is like a turbo charger.

Ok - thanks all, some great advice. TC - when are you despatching my parcel...?

Day off work as it's my rideout weekend..
Plan is to get the engine rebuilt and back in the frame this morning. Loads of bits arrived this week including muddie, sprocket carrier etc from TC / Per (Top notch - thanks fellas).
Will post some pics later if all goes to plan - no pics means that I'll have lost the head and its all gone wrong... again...

NO PICS!
So, I buy a top-end rebuild kit - not a cheapie but not an athena, something that looks ok. I order said kit of the Internet and it arrives today. Complete top-end rebuild kit. How can people advertise a complete top end rebuild kit which does not include a small-end bearing!!

Engine back in today, and really starting to look good - well to me anyway!! Pattern exhaust needs a wee bit of fettling to fit properly, but it will!!
