UK FS1-E & FS1 Register - Member Action Required!!

Post by pertheswede »

As you may or may not know, the YAMAHA FS1-E OWNERS CLUB is the new custodian of the "Official UK FS1-E & FS1 Register". This is a very important record of the surviving machines in the UK today. Firstly, it is an invaluable reference point for producing accurate the "DVLA Approved Dating Certificates" that we produce for all FS1-E & FS1 owners (members and non-members alike) in order to get their bikes registered with an Age Related Registration Plate at the DVLA for those who have lost their original identity (V5 and Reg No) over the years. Secondly it also helps the Club to assist owners to identify exactly what model of FS1-E or FS1 they own and roughly when they were registered, again if the original log book (V5) has been lost etc.

To date we have only had 170 fizzys added to the Register, which is a great start, ;) :D , but with almost 500 members now we should have a lot more!?

We estimate that around 2000 surviving fizzys still out there and about half of these are probably in the ownership of Club members, allowing for members with multiple bikes in their sheds, garages and living rooms. 8-)

So thank you to all of you who have already added your fizzys but could all of you that haven't to date go to the "Add a Bike" section of the website using the link below and register your fizzy(s) now please!:-

http://www.fs1eoc.co.uk/members/bikes.p ... dit&id=new

Please enter all of the information as accurately and completely as possible in lower case including full frame and engine number details! ;) .

Here are all of the YAMAHA named fizzy colours to choose from:-

Candy Orange (394 SS and FS1-E)
Popsicle Purple (394 FS1-E Drumbrake)
Baja Brown Pinstripe (394 FS1-E Drumbrake)
Baja Brown Speedblock (394 FS1-E Drumbrake)
Competition Yellow Pinstripe ( 596 FS1-ED Disc Brake)
Competition Yellow Speedblock (FS1-E DX Disc Brake)
Space Blue (FS1-EA Drumbrake with auto-lube)
Chappy Red (FS1-E DXA Disc Brake with auto-lube)
French Metallic Blue (2G0 FS1-M Drumbrake with auto-lube)
Vintage Burgundy (2G0 FS1-M-DX Disc Brake with auto-lube)
Caribbean Blue (3F6 FS1 Drumbrake)
Maxim Red (3F6 FS1 DX Disc Brake)

Are you interested if for example all you have is a frame, V5 and a petrol tank which might not get looked at for another 10 years. In my case a 2GO ?

The link in my earlier post is currently not working so can all members send me an PM or email with details of you bike(s) as follows please:-

Model (SS, FS1-E, FS1-EA, FS1-EDX etc)
Date of Registration
Registration Number
Colour

This information will be held in the strictest confidence by the Club and is subject to the Data Protection Act and will only be shared with the DVLA if requested to do so. The information will assist the Club to issue accurate Dating Certificates which in turn will allow members to get their bikes correctly registered with Age Related Registration Numbers with the DVLA.

Many thanks in advance!

Is this owners club still active because I posted something and got absolutely no response so I removed it. Also the link to register my fizzys doesn't seem to work?

Yes this Club is still active although a lot of the Members don't seem to want to use this Forum any more? :| :(

Quite a few people have moved over to the FS1-EOC Facebook Group page https://www.facebook.com/groups/fizzyownersclub/

"You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink it! " as the old saying goes ;-)
