Good question and well spotted.
That’s how the down-pipe was, with a sort of collar. I have no idea what bike it was from, although I recon the internal diameter is larger than a normal fizz. Yet it fitted onto a three-quarter section of a chopped fizzy exhaust. With a file and mig it fitted a treat. It sounds beefy.
