Cold still morning and as the Notso needs cleaning anyway thought I'd go balls out for 90 today, on the same road where I've seen 87. Hit 76 and still going in 4th changed up and got flat on the tank and carried on a bit further than usual, had the needle the high side of 90 on the clock and it's still going but must have been revving close to 15k in top, had 2 fingers over the clutch lever I can tell you, that was well over an hour ago and I've only just stopped shaking.
The crazy thing is as anyone who's ridden it will tell you once you've got past the pulling away/wheelieing/wheel spinning especially in the wet stage it's as stable as a 125, non of the usual Fizzy twitchiness, and the brakes work. Never too sure about the nos Speedmaster on the back but so far so good.
I think that with an extra tooth on the front, a flyweight rider and a nice long stretch with maybe a slight downhill it would get bloody close, thanks for volunteering Tony, we'll sort a time and place I've been trying to coerce young Jakey to go for a high speed blast, he's no flyweight but he's a couple of stone less than me so should see a good top end but he seems a bit reluctant
