Uttoxeter was a ball!

Post by funkymoped »

Thanx Per for having us (the sixteener special lot that is)

A great day was had by all and here are my piccys. not to mention the awards we all got.

We are clearly on the road now I think we done exceptionally well and the peds on display where all fooking mint. Undoubtably the best peds in the house.

This piccy made me laugh!

Apologies for not posting earlier but I went straight out again last night after getting home from the Show.

We had a fantastic weekend at the Uttoxeter Show with lots of raffle tickets sold (a further £300 approx raised) and a total haul of 4 top prizes won for some of our beautiful bikes on display! :D 8-).

I would personally like to thank all of the following people for all their help to make the stand and the weekend the great success it was :D :D :-

George Beer & the VJMC for having us
Tony Collins - for all you do for the cause!
Steve Jacobs (Jakey) - for getting the staging and most of the bikes to &from the show again
Peter Lee (sturge) - my right hand man come "Show Time" (even though he now does not even own a fizzy any more!!)
Dave Ellis (DaveCumbria) - on hand and ever willing to assist as always and a drinking companion of an evening.
Charlie Owens- for providing brews, beer, great company, a helping hand and for his fizzy wheelie displays!
Paul Walton (FizzyDoctor) - thanks for bringing your bike, setting up, braking down & manning the stand etc
Steve from Chester - Cheers for showing your fizzy and generally helping out!
John Philips (Flika) - for letting us have the "NotSoSpecial" to show again.
Mark Smith - for making the effort to bring the your Gitane Testi and the FS1-ED
..and to everybody else who contributed to make the whole thing happen!! ;) :D 8-)

Here are some of my photos from the weekend for you to enjoy:-

Best comment of the weekend came from one of the visiting punters "This must be the "posh" moped stand then!?"

Best quote said to me was "There stand is about the same quality as their bikes" I relplied
"**** then" they replied "He! He! Bang On"

Twas a great weekend and I was pleased Scott had a result with his SS50 even if it was'nt where it should have been, rest assured he would'nt have done it without our help..

That just reminded me of another quote I overheard.

"If you want to see a proper SS50 there is an Orange one on the other stand"

I have to say I had a fantastic day I even made the Fizzydoctor smile....

I really had so many more bikes I could have brought along but we already had what was clearly the best bikes in the place on display.

Bring on Billing I reckon 200 bikes+
