Re: One for Per
I think we can safely assume that at least one new throttle cable has been fitted (wrongly) in the last 36 years TC!??Funkymoped wrote:Note the clutch cable route!

Re: One for Per
I managed to measure a genuine early clutch cable for non braced bars (not for a dx),i then contacted all the sellers on ebay and other wise for measurements on the inner and outer cable length, and then hounded em again and again till i got replies from them all. They were all massive fooking long jobs as usual except one supplier that was virtually cock on on both the inner and the outer .
Of course i have no how idea what they feel like to use but worth a go,i for one am sick of all these clutch cables wrapped round the bike 3 times.

Re: One for Per
Please feel free to share with us who sells the correct length ones as I have about 30 different fizzy clutch cables that don't fit any model

Re: One for Per
Ok an early drum brake cable for use with braced bars has and approx inner of 115cm and an out of 106cm, this one is only 4-5cm longer which is fook all in pattern terms.

Now inspector Allspeed has done his bit, someone just needs to buy one and see what they are like in operation.
