Sadly not yet! My plans got killed off by 'domestic' duties... :D Hopefully, the strip down will start on Sunday so it will be a cuppa tea, Haynes Manual, Ska Music (to cover the swearing), broken fingers and sheered off screws!

Quick question - I'm about to rebuild the top end - it looks like the barrel may not take another rebore. I'm being quoted £135 for:
Crank
Mains and seals
Piston Kit
Barrel
Full gasket kit

That sounds good to me but as a complete numpty thought I would check? Whats the opinion?

the cheap pattern barrels are not very good tony they need lots of porting work and very careful running in, i have had a couple before but never again, the athena ones are very good but expensive,

Oooh.. thanks Jobby. The local bike dealer (Dave Jones - Newtown) is actually spot on and may yet be able to save my barrel... Fingers crossed.

be better if he can save the barrel, i had a cheap pattern one and after i had paid out to have all the porting work done it didnt seem such a bargain anymore, and after 25miles it nipped up and wrecked the barrel.
