I have a small twin axle box trailer into which I can fit 2 to 3 fizzys/bikes plus parts and other paraphernalia. Cost me just over £1000 second hand.

It's very happy tootling along at 80mph on the M-ways!!

A very good small single bike trailer is the Motolug which can easily be dismantled and put in the boot when not in use. Also does not take up too much space in the garage/shed.

A bit pricey at over £500 but a very handy piece of kit.

Hey watch your speed Per the law are using their average speed camera's, cars etc to get people towing over 60mph on motorways and 50mph on other roads!

I think it's caravanners they want and those business vans with the big trailers but if you hit 80mph and get caught it'll be a big fine remember 30mph over is a ban.

I had the GT on my trailer with the fizzy on the rack it ran smooth at 75mph on the 106 but not worth the fines but 60mph's definately boring!

I personally wouldn't put anything bigger than a 125 on the rack, the fizzy is great doesn't affect performance at all and it doesn't use any more fuel and as my motors a little Peugeot 106 diesel you can't afford to loose any power.

Also people should check their licences as if you have a later one you may have to take a seperate test for towing!

Those Motolug trailers are dead smart I'd love one of them as they are so easy to store and the ERDE ones look brilliant.

Im on the trail for a towbar for me clio,so a quick question.Do you have to fit a lighting board on yours when the bikes on or can you see the back lamps ok?

Nice one, i got the towbar last night so i need a trailor board and number plate to add to me wish list.Is there a knack to loading/unloading them.Is it two man job.Looks like i need some straps as well. How many do i need

Hi, sorry but been on for a few days, there's a definate knack to loading and off loading luckily my son's willing, I've not tried it on my own but I'm sure with practice it can be done!

I use four straps main straps two on the handlebars and two on the rear shocks with a couple of other straps as well but you can put as many as you want just watch they don't rub anywhere, I've been all over with the fizzy on no problems. Get the rachet straps they are the best they hold the tension best and undo easier. It's a good economic way to transport and doesn't cost more in fuel + you've got the towbar in case you decide to tow...

My mate who's in traffic in the Volvo's on the M6 said they pulled a girl with horse box on a Range Rover the other day for speeding the main reason she was in the fast lane with a Horse in the horse box and speeding through traffic! So much for animal care.. (75mph should be 60mph in the fast lane as well) but when they checked she didn't have trailer on her licence so they couldn't let her continue she had to follow them to the sevices them get someone to come and rescue the horse and horse box! + she got another 3 points on top of the 3 for speeding!!!
