It all depends how good of job/finish you want.
I kept costs down because I did much of the preparation myself. For example, recently I had a frame and panels done, I already had them shot-blasted and etched-primed. Then they were 2K primed, by a sprayer. Thereafter, I prepped. Then I sent the parts back for top coat.
It isn’t cheap for a quality job: you pay for what you get. I paid, but boy did i get a quality/depth finish.
Yet sometimes restoration is about having a go for yourself. Your choice.
