does anyone know the correct measurements for tapered headrace type bearings, or i guess that the correct part code would do and also for the seals kick start seal oil pump ?

The head bearings on your bike are the same as the old bikes according to my 1980's bike Yamaha parts fiche so you can look them up at http://www.cmsnl.com/yamaha-fs1-1977-uk ... t/F22.html or indeed ask a Yamaha dealer.
They were fairly cheap apart from one of the cups so I went for taper bearings from ebay. Still not quite sure if that was the right decision as it seemed to lift the top yoke slightly. Don't know sizes.
I'm assuming seals and gasket will also be available from Yamaha.
